The Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław's Centre for the Development of the Artist invites you to participate in the Summer Tones Academy, which will take place from 1-6 July 2025 within the walls of the Academy of Music in Wrocław. 

We invite people over the age of 12 who are active in the field of music to participate, including: 

former and current students of music schools, 
former and current students of music academies,
graduates of music academies, 
pedagogues of music schools and academies, 
people participating in other forms of music education.
The programme includes:

2. Vocalism
The programme includes 4 singing lessons with a teacher of your choice:

In addition, the course includes: 

• 3 lessons in vocal and acting scenes

3 Symphonic conducting

The programme includes 4 conducting lessons with a chosen teacher + accompaniment

• prof. dr hab. Alan Urbanek (akompaniament mgr Aleksandra Milcarz)

In addition, the course includes: 

• working with an accompanist during one-to-one conducting lessons,
• lectures to support the development of musicians' musical, social and cognitive competences.

4. Choral conducting

The programme includes 4 conducting lessons with a teacher of your choice:

In addition, the course includes: 

• Workshop: Vocal enunciation - 2 didactic hours,
• conducted by mgr Magdalena Wojtas,
• lectures supporting the development of musical, social and cognitive competences of musicians.

5. Composition

The programme includes 4 composition lessons with a chosen teacher:

• dr hab. Robert Kurdybacha, prof. AMKL 
• dr hab. Adam Porębski

In addition, the course includes: 

• ear training and musical imagination classes - 1 teaching hour,
• lectures to support the development of musical, social and cognitive competences of musicians.

6 Ear training and musical imagination

The programme includes 4 lessons lasting 45 minutes each, based on innovative methods of teaching ear training.
Their aim is to present issues related to the perception of music and to introduce exercises to develop musical imagination.

7. Analysis of a musical work 

The programme includes 4 lessons lasting 45 minutes each, aimed at getting to know the tools and methods of working with musical material.

COST: PLN 400 (including: PLN 250 + registration fee of PLN 150)

8. Music in new media - sound production and design*

The programme includes 12 didactic hours of workshops (4 days x 3 didactic hours). During the course participants will learn basic and useful tools for sound production and design including: Ableton Live + grid controllers, basics of Max for Live, selected interaction and sound synthesis techniques.

*Course for people over 15 years of age.
Note: Computer skills required.

COST: PLN 800 (including: PLN 650 + registration fee of PLN 150)

At the time of submission of the application, the person interested in participating in the 2025 Summer Tone Academy is a Candidate. Only upon receipt of confirmation of acceptance from the Organiser and payment of the Course fee by 6 June 2025. The Candidate becomes a full Participant in the Course. 
 
Application of minors 
On behalf of minors, i.e. persons who are under 18 years of age at the time of application, application for participation in ALT shall be made by their legal representatives or legal guardians by completing the Online Application Form: https://forms.gle/ZEZo3XRdowv5cpoaA.

In addition to the online form, a supplementary form must be downloaded. A scan of the completed and signed document should be sent to: alt@amkl.edu.pl by 19 May 2025.

The number of places on individual courses is limited! 
There is a possibility to buy additional single individual classes with a chosen Teacher - by prior arrangement with the Organiser - price 200 PLN.
