We are pleased to inform you that Ignacy Wojciechowski, a student in the composition class of prof. dr hab. Krystian Kiełb, has been awarded the Kraków Film Music Festival - FMF Young Talent Award 2022. Ignacy Wojciechowski composes theatre and film music and his works are performed in the largest concert halls in Poland. We congratulate him and wish him further success!
The Board of the Lower Silesian Voivodship has appointed one of the most renowned choral conductors in Poland and Europe as director of the Józef Wiłkomirski Sudecka Philharmonic. Prof. dr hab. Agnieszka Franków-Żelazny will take up the post of director of the Sudecka Philharmonic from 1 September 2022, in the 45th artistic season of the institution's operation. Congratulations!
The guest of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław was prof. dr hab. Lidia Grychtołówna – a renowned pianist, pedagogue and long-standing juror of the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. On 31st May she conducted a master class in piano playing, which was culminate in an extraordinary piano recital.
On 30 May 2022, the Leopoldina Hall hosted the gala of the 6th edition of the Young Talents Competition, during which prizes were awarded. Nominees in the artistic success category were Sara Dragan (AMKL), Paweł Horodyski (AMKL) and Vinicius Libardoni (ASP). The winner of the Competition was Sara Dragan, a student of violin from the class of dr hab. Viktor Kuznetsov. Congratulations!
Artistic scholarships for the promotion of culture in the region, granted by the Lower Silesian Voivodship Government, were awarded to 13 persons, including dr Monika Kruk and dr Aleksander Kobus. Congratulations!
We are very pleased to inform you that the Artistic and Scientific Association of Woodwind Instruments, the Artistic and Scientific Association of New Media and the Music Therapy Students' Scientific Association have become beneficiaries of the FAST programme. In this year's edition of the competition, 79 projects were submitted, and 37 projects were awarded.
