On 27 March 2023, in the Leopoldina Auditorium of the University of Wrocław, the 11th edition of the Ceremonial Doctoral and Habilitation Promotion of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław took place, combined with the conferment of an honorary doctorate degree to Maestro Jan “Ptaszyn” Wroblewski, an outstanding Polish saxophonist, composer, arranger, conductor, publicist and radio journalist. 

Diplomas of academic degrees in the field of art in the artistic discipline of musical arts were awarded to:

  • Aleksandra Orłukowicz, PhD
  • Paweł Maliczowski, PhD
  • Dariusz Perczak, PhD
  • Michał Ziółkowski, PhD
  • Adam Banaszak, PhD (Post-doctoral degree)
  • Adam Porębski, PhD (Post-doctoral degree)
  • Ryszard Osada, PhD (Post-doctoral degree)

The ceremony was honoured by the performance of the jazz ensemble “Tomasz Wendt Trio”, composed of Tomasz Wendt - tenor saxophone, Grzegorz Piasecki - double bass, Przemysław Jarosz - drums. The musicians performed compositions by AMKL's honorary doctor - Jan “Ptaszyn” Wróblewski.
