51st SCIENTIFIC SESSION ‘ORATORIAL AND CANTATA MUSIC IN THE CONTEXT OF PERFORMANCE PRACTICE’
WROCŁAW, 14 SEPTEMBER 2025
SESSION SCIENTIFIC DIRECTOR: DR HAB. OLGA KSENICZ
An accompanying event to the Wratislavia Cantans International Festival, almost since its inception – and for over half a century now! – has been a scientific session devoted to oratorio and cantata music. This extremely important event allows for the harmonious combination of artistic and scientific achievements. Theorists, musicologists, educators and artists share their thoughts and discoveries in the fields of history, performance practices, analysis and many other areas; some of the presentations concern related topics.
These academic activities are organised by the Department of Vocal Studies of the Vocal Faculty of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music (AMKL) and the Polish Association of Singing Teachers, and the sessions will be held at the Academy in Wrocław.
