Building A (the main building) is the largest among the Academy's buildings in terms of floor area, with a two-wing structure. It dates back to the turn of the 20th century and has a status of a heritage site. It serves as the seat of the Academy’s authorities, contains educational facilities, the Main Library with the Reading Room and the Lending Library, the Theatre Hall, the Chamber Hall and administrative divisions. Since April 2015 the project entitled Redevelopment and infrastructure overhaul of the Academy of Music in Wrocław has been implemented. The objective of the project is to provide optimum educational conditions by upgrading the rooms of AMKL's Main Library. The building was subsidised by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
