Ewa Grygar – agraduate of two faculties: music theory (1985) and music education (1988) at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wroclaw. Sha has also completed Postgraduate Vocal Pedagogy Studies and Postgraduate Choir Studies at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. In 1988, she started working as an assistant at her home University. In 1994 she obtained the 1st degreequalifications and in 2009, by resolution of the Council of the Department ofChoral Conductorship, Music Education and Church Music of the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, she obtained the degree of doctor habilitowany [doctor habilitatus] in an artistic discipline of conductorship. Since October 2017 she has been working as profesor at the Academy of Music in Wroclaw.
Between 2001 and 2006 she was the organizational and academic manager (of the last two editions) of the Postgraduate Studies in Teaching 'Art', Music and School Art with Culture Animation at the Faculty of Music Education of the Wrocław Academy of Music. In the years 1989–2006 she was the conductor of the Studio Choir (currently the Stanisław Krukowski Choir), with which she performed with the choir and vocal-instrumental repertoire. Other activities include conducting, reading scores, ear training, and seminars for bachelor's and master's theses. She participates in scientific conferences, she lectured at the National University of Music in Bucharest and conducted classes within international folklore workshops in Belgium and the USA.
Between 1992 and 2006 she was the conductor and artistic director (since 1994) of the "Wrocław" National Lower Silesian Dance & Song Group, with which she gave concerts in Poland and abroad (France, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, Mexico, USA), taking part in international folklore festivals. She has been involved with the amateur groupup to now. Since 2005, she has been the conductor and artistic director of the Piastuny Chamber Choir (operating at the Center for Social and Cultural Activities Piast in Wrocław), with which she gives concerts in Poland and abroad, winning prizes and awards at choral festivals.
In 1989–1991 she cooperated with the Polish Theater in Wrocław, where she was a music director of the play History of a Horse. She also cooperated with the State Opera in Wrocław as the head and conductor of the choir, she prepared premieres of opera plays: Tosca, Freelancer, The Haunted Manor (resumption), Samson and Dalila, Rigoletto.
In 2010-2014 she cooperated with the Puppet Theater in Wrocław, conducting music classes with actors and a children's choir. In 2011, she prepared the premiere of the musical spectacle "Pastorale" by Leon Schiller.
In the years 1994–2000 she taught theoretical subjects and led choral ensembles and orchestraat the State Primary and Secondary Music School in Opole.
She collaborated with the Singing Wroclaw project. She is a juror of competitions and choral festivals.
In the course of her professional work at the University she received three rector awards. She was also honored with the Gold Cross of Merit, the Medal of Merit to Culture "Gloria Artis". In 2016, she received the "Wratislavia Grato Animo" Honorary Badge of Wrocław for her outstanding services rendered to Wrocław.
