National Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference “Who is an Artist? Faces of artistic identity in the modern world”
The idea for the theme area stems from the need to take steps toward trying to resolve the identity dilemmas of the young artist. The alarming phenomenon observed today of increasing fear of social exposure, identity confusion and an unstable sense of the meaning of being an artist is a cause for in-depth scientific reflection.
The project includes speeches by representatives of academia, the art community, business and workshops aimed at young artists.
The planned thematic range of speeches by active participants includes:
- Identity as a multifaceted issue.
- Faces of the artist in the light of scientific research.
- The development of artistic identity in the experience of representatives of different areas of art (music, visual arts, acting, dance and others).
- The sense of meaning of being an artist in scientific reflection.
- Formation of artistic identity among young people.
- Art therapy and artistic identity in communities of people with disabilities.
- The conference program will include papers, presentations and workshops. We want to look at the topic of artistic identity from different perspectives: pupil, student, teacher, artist-professional and entrepreneur with an artistic soul.
The conference is organized as part of the project “Quo vadis, musica? - between mission and duty in the context of the third millennium” co-financed by funds from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Fund for the Promotion of Culture.
