On 20-21 April 2023, members of the Education, Science and Youth Committee of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland visited Wrocław's art academies. As part of the visitation, an away plenary meeting of the Education, Science and Youth Committee of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland was held at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław on 20 April 2023. The meeting was attended by: Mr Wojciech Murdzek, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Education and Science, Government Plenipotentiary for the reform of the functioning of research institutes, Mr Jarosław Wartak, Director of the Department of Artistic Education in the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, H.E. Prof. dr hab. Wojciech Pukocz, Rector of the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, JM Prof. dr hab. Krystian Kiełb, Rector of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, and Prof. dr hab. Elżbieta Czaplińska-Mrozek, Deputy Rector of the Wrocław Branch of the Stanisław Wyspiański Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków. The topics covered the organisation and operation of arts academies, including, among other things, the mode of studies within arts faculties, financing of arts academies, mechanisms for ensuring quality of education, investment needs and challenges facing arts academies.
