prof. dr hab. Piotr Zaleski

Piotr Zaleski graduated in 1979, at the Musikhochschule in Weimar (Germany), in the class of professor Ursula Peter and Monika Rost.

He has given concerts throughout Europe, playing solo, as well as with symphonic orchestras and in a duo with flute.

He was the leader of master courses in Poland, Spain, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Holland and Hungary.
He has educated many prize–winners of Polish and international guitar competitions, including Łukasz Kuropaczewski, Krzysztof Pełech, Robert Horna, Marek Pasieczny, Anna Pietrzak, Jakub Kosciuszko.
In 1991-1993, he was the Dean of Instrumental Faculty at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław.
Currently he is a professor and Deputy Rector at the very Academy.
He was also the founder of Guitar Courses in Szczawno Zdrój (1991-2006).
In the Jacaras ensemble, of which he is the founder and leader, plays timple canario. The ensemble's repertoire is vocal-instrumental music of Spanish baroque guitarists.
