The Academic Brass Band of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław was formed in October 2012 on the initiative of Head of the Department of Wind Instruments and Percussion prof. Mieczysław Stachura. The band consists of students of the Instrumental Faculty and collaborating students from other faculties of the Academy. The band's repertoire includes classical, film and popular music. The orchestra is managed by mgr Mariusz Dziubek.

In addition to its own music projects, the Academic Brass Band also participates in concerts with other bands. For instance, it has performed together with the Representative Orchestra of Land Forces in Wrocław at the Concert Hall of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław.
