Students of the theory of music specialty have the knowledge and methods necessary for the broadly understood theoretical reflection on musical pieces and other musical arts phenomena, including such disciplines as music acoustics, psychology and the sociology of music. After completing the Teacher Training College, the graduates are also prepared to work in general education and primary music education (first-cycle studies) and research, editorial, journalistic and teaching work at all levels of music education (second-cycle studies).
