We are pleased to present another result of the work of our pedagogues. The head of the String Instruments Department, dr hab. Paweł Jablczynski, prof. of  AMKL, and dr hab. Justyna Skoczek, prof. of AMKL, who teaches at the Vocal Department, have just released another CD!

Joachim Stutschewsky - cello works are the author's transcriptions of cello works for double bass. The work on the material collected in this album is an attempt to discover - also before a wider audience - the unique sound of the double bass as a full-fledged solo instrument.

dr hab. Paweł Jablczynski, prof. of AMKL, reached out to Stuczewski's underrated and to some extent forgotten music. He found extremely moving and valuable compositions, which, thanks to his original transcriptions, gain a whole new depth. In preparing his arrangements of Stuczewski's works, he first of all tried to convey the feelings aroused by the experience of the composer's music. He succeeded not only in transferring the musical text to the double bass register, but in telling the extremely intimate stories contained in Stuczewski's music in a completely new, different and subjective way.

The album was recorded in the Concert Hall of the Karol Lipinski Academy of Music in Wroclaw, on December 6-7, 2021.
Completed as part of an artistic scholarship from the President of Wroclaw.
The album was released by the CD Accord label.
