We would like to invite you to the first concert of this year of the Baroque Academic Orchestra, which will take place on 18 May 2025 at 5 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław.

The Baroque Academic Orchestra focuses on the performance and promotion of early music, with particular emphasis on historical performance practices. The ensemble's activities enrich the Wrocław music scene, not only enabling students of our University to gain valuable stage experience, but also providing further opportunities for the general public to experience an unobvious and varied repertoire.

The orchestra has a rich history - in the past its artistic directors were outstanding musicians: Andrzej Kosendiak (2003-2005), Zbigniew Pilch (2005-2007) and Jarosław Thiel (2007-2013). Since 2013, the ensemble has been led by Bartosz Kokosza, who continues his mission to bring students and music lovers closer to the beauty of music from past eras.

During the concert, we will hear compositions from the early Italian Baroque period. This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the sound world of the era and travel back in time for a moment.
