We are very pleased to announce that Dawid Grenda, a student in the composition class of prof. dr hab. Marcin Bortnowski, has been awarded first prize in the Third Inter-University Composition Competition “The Dark Side of Art”. The competition was organized by the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz.

The participants' task was to create a piece for a given instrument overnight - a real challenge for creativity and talent! Dawid Grenda represented our Academy and won the appreciation of the jury with his unique work entitled “what not to talk about”.

Eight participants in the competition came from different Polish music academies, which emphasizes the rank and prestige of this event. We sincerely congratulate Dawid on this significant achievement and wish him further artistic success!

The Inter-University Composition Competition “The Dark Side of Art” is organized by the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Music Society in Bydgoszcz and the Department of Composition, Music Theory and Sound Direction of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz.
