The Karol Lipinski Academy of Music in Wroclaw will host mYear 2025, the Festival of Musical Imagination, on March 7-8, 2025.

mYear is three days of extraordinary experiences with exercises that educate musical hearing and test its functioning in a variety of contexts. Sheets of one piece, crazy challenges in sound-filled spaces, puzzles, exercises carried out during concerts, installations and multimedia tasks, traditionally - the power of surprises. As always, everything to listen to music with passion and hear more and more.

The festival is a great opportunity for young musicians to discover passion, their own fun in analyzing and understanding “what sounds”!

The mYear is worth coming to and exploring new paths of fascination with music! “My hearing” - as one interpretation of the festival's name indicates - is a key issue and a gateway to musical development. For many years we have been creating mYear as a festival of ideas to minimize the fear of subjects in music theory. In past editions, the Festival was visited in large numbers by students of second-cycle music schools all over Poland, and teachers (for whom a category of passive participant was created) are eager to adapt festival tasks and new methodological concepts to their own classes.

The Festival Council is made up of authors of original tasks and experienced teachers, lecturers of schools and music universities, for whom passion and motivation are didactic guideposts. The festival gives a chance to exchange ideas, inspire and get motivated for satisfying and effective work with music! And in an unforgettable mYear atmosphere, students will become ambassadors of teachers' efforts and explorations.
