1. Small Forms Competition of the Department of Wind Instruments, Percussion and Accordion
Date and place:
The competition will be held on March 18, 2025 in the Concert Hall of the Karol Lipinski Academy of Music in Wroclaw.

Who can participate.
First and second degree students of the Karol Lipinski Academy of Music in Wroclaw playing:

  • flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon,
  • French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba,
  • percussion and accordion.
  • ❗ First prize winners of the previous edition cannot participate.

Applications:

  • The completed Entry Form should be sent to zgloszenia@amkl.edu.pl by March 10, 2025.
  • The application form is available at amuz.wroc.pl.
  • The number of places is limited - the order of application is decisive.

Program:
Participants may perform any number of songs with a total time of up to 15 minutes.
They can play solo or with accompaniment.
Cyclic forms and abbreviated pieces are allowed.

Course of the competition:
The competition is one-stage and interdisciplinary.
The order of performances will be determined by random drawing (March 17, 2025).
The performances will be evaluated by a jury on a scale of 1-25 points.

Prizes and awards:
Winners will receive cash prizes and exemption from part of the semester exam if they meet certain conditions.
Winners must perform in the winners' concert (March 18, 2025).
All participants will receive certificates of participation.

2. Small Forms Competition of the Department of String Instruments.

Date and place:
The competition will be held on March 18, 2025 in the Concert Hall of the Karol Lipinski Academy of Music in Wroclaw.

Who can participate.
First and second degree students of the Karol Lipinski Academy of Music in Wroclaw playing:

  • violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar and harp.

Applications:
The completed Application Form should be sent to zgloszenia@amkl.edu.pl by March 10, 2025.
The application form is available at amuz.wroc.pl.
The number of places is limited - the order of application is decisive.

Program:
Participants perform two pieces of up to 15 minutes total time:

  • Virtuoso piece
  • Free piece

Can be played solo or with accompaniment.
Prohibition of large cyclic forms.
Performance from memory mandatory.
Pieces may not be repeated from previous editions of the competition.

Course of the competition:
The competition is one-stage.
The order of performances will be determined by random drawing (March 17, 2025).
Participants must be present 30 minutes before the performance.
The jury will evaluate the performances on a scale of 1-25 points.
The artistic level, stylistic compatibility and accuracy of interpretation will be evaluated.
Decisions of the jury are final.

Prizes and awards:
Winners will receive cash prizes and exemption from part of the semester exam if they meet certain conditions.
Winners must perform in the winners' concert (March 18, 2025).
All participants will receive certificates of participation.
