On December 20, 2024, the premiere of the latest album by the National Forum of Music with the participation of our University's pedagogues took place. The works on it are performed by solo singers, the Polish National Youth Choir and instrumentalists under the direction of prof. dr hab. Agnieszka Franków-Żelazny and Łukasz Borowicz. Universal Prayer is a CD dedicated to the works of Andrzej Panufnik. It was recorded on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the composer's birth. The publisher of the album is the NFM and CD Accord. Congratulations!

“Andrzej Panufnik is appreciated primarily for his symphonic works. However, his oeuvre includes several compositions with choir, and these are collected on this album. All of them come from the second, British period of the composer's life, although it should be noted that in some of them he reaches back both to Polish themes and to music created before he left Poland in 1954. At that time, Panufnik, taking advantage of a brief stay at a recording session for Swiss Radio, instead of returning to his country, made his way to London with the help of friends and there asked for political asylum. He did not visit Poland until 1990, already after the democratic transition. His music and name were banned in the country until 1977. He himself was building a professional position in Great Britain at the time.”
