Wrocław Art Prize 2021
Almost half of the nominees for the 2021 Wrocław Art Prize in the classical music category are artists associated with the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. We are pleased to inform you that in the list of awards were:
Dr Justyna Skoczek and dr hab. Paweł Jabłczyński, who together with actor Bartosz Porczyk were appreciated "for the original and fulfilled versions of Mieczysław Karłowicz's song on the album released by Anagram Records".
Dr hab. Rafał Łuc, who together with Ensemble Kompopolex has gained recognition "for the high artistic level and the premiere of contemporary works by Polish composers".
Piotr Alexewicz, a piano student of prof. dr hab. Paweł Zawadzki, nominated "for musical sensitivity and excellent, profound interpretations - not only of Chopin's - of piano music".
The 2021 Wrocław art prize is awarded in three categories: music, theatre and visual arts. It is an award that has its origins in the well-known to the inhabitants of the capital of Lower Silesia, the Wroclaw Music Prize and the Wroclaw Theatre Prize. The winners will be announced on Monday 6 December at a gala at the National Music Forum, and the awards will be presented by the President of Wrocław, Jacek Sutryk.
